Types of Appraisals

Red Stripe, Inc. offers two types of Appraisals:

Summary Appraisal Report - States the identity of the client and any intended users, the intended use of the report, the definition of value(s) assigned, the physical characteristics of the capital equipment involved, the last date of inspection, and the date of the report.

Desktop Analysis Appraisal Report - Identifies and values assets without inspecting and listing them, by relying on documents and other information provided by the client and others. this is a limited appraisal which is defined by USPAP.

How are Values Determined?

In today’s volatile market, the value of equipment can change rapidly and dramatically making the equipment appraisal a vitally important tool in business decision-making. Values are based on the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) definitions. Five categories of value are as follows:

Market Value – In Place (MV-IP)
Fair Market Value (FMV)
Orderly Liquidation Value (OLV)
Forced Liquidation Value (FLV)
Insurable/Cash Value
